Eminent Grace for Daily Living

“In that day you will know that I am in you and you are in me” John 14:21  take on their true significance in the ultimate plan of God. In this short 2 part series John seeks to lead us into what it means to “bring many sons to Glory” Heb 2:9-10 and the beautiful reality of the believer’s destiny as the eternal dwelling place of God.

In this message John explains the difference between the New Commandment of John 13:34 and the Greatest Commandment of the law Mat 22:37-39.  He also shows how this affects our understanding of the NT obedience of faith as opposed to the OT works obedience of the law. Living from the inside out by our true identity is brought to the forefront and expounded on in this message. 

In this last of 3 messages to the men of Power Based Living in Southlake, TX, John begins with the worth of the believer in the light of the Lamb. He then shows how the New Covenant Man has a brand new heart that can know God and believe on Him. The Old Man's operating system ran on worldly principles applied by human willpower through a self imposed external code (Col 2:20-23). The New Covenant Man lives by influence (grace) that functions from the inside out. John stresses that this is an internalized Covenant with the Covenant Maker Himself living in us and manifesting His life in our mortal body of flesh.

In this message John shows how that the flow of Divine Grace (Emanating out of Love) takes place. It is in (John 14:20) and on the elevated plane of our ascension and seating with Him in Trinitarian Fellowship. All is From Him and Through Him and To Him. (Rom 11:36) It is also in this place that Worship and gratitude find their true expression. 

In part 2 of the 3 part series titled "Living as a New Creation Man," delivered to the Power Based Living men's group in Southlake, TX, John revisits a number of essential paradigms. He further explains God linking our sanctification to Him. The imputed Innocence of the Lamb is by exchange not change. He comments on the purpose and temporal duration of the law. John compares the Spiritual with spiritual as the true instruction in righteousness and finishes with the absolute unity of purpose and function in the Trinity toward man.

In this first session: John lays out a number of essential paradigms that are paramount in experiencing and manifesting the New Life that is ours in Christ. These teachings were given in Southlake, TX to the men of Power Based Living. 

John takes us through: Peter's account written in 1 Peter 5, of his self-inflicted suffering. Followed by his encouragement of being brought to an established place in grace. And finally his instruction to his brethren fulfilling Jesus' request from Luke 22:32.

The preaching of the gospel is not applying principles to change the old man, but it is the revelation of the old man’s death and the newness of life in the Spirit. In this message John explains the importance of knowing our true identity, which is the new created man in Christ Jesus. He shows us how law based teaching cannot be applied to the new man anymore than grace can be preached to the old man. True ministry will compare spiritual things with the spiritual man which will transform us from the inside out.

In this message John lays down some new covenant principles of how we hear God through the persuasion of our hearts. This is different from our former way via an earthly wisdom/knowledge based perception. Some get duped back into trying to hear God through the former carnal law-based paradigm which snuffs out our persuasion (faith) nullifying our confidence before God. The original dynamic of hearing Him does not change but grows clearer and stronger as His grace clears the obstacles from our path.

So many are seeking to find rest from their works by their works, this is the vicious cycle of unrest that the law brings. In this message John shows how understanding God’s acceptance and approval of us in Christ establishes a place where our faith rests. In this relaxed state we are no longer preoccupied or distracted with what we have to do to get closer to God. Rest allows us to become preoccupied with who we are, clearly hearing God’s voice. This inturn enables us to abide in a conscious state of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit manifests life through the desires He places and fills in our lives. ~ In this message we take a look at what ungodly and worldly lust (desire) really is. Bringing clarity to the desires which are born of God and those which find their root in the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.  Even a good desire born out of lack will bring corruption to our belief system hindering us from reigning in this life. This discussion followed John's teaching "Crowned with His Life."  Personal testimony shows God manifesting His life in the individual. The listener will find a few more nuggets to add to the teaching.

In this message John traces the purpose of God dwelling in a tabernacle from the OT in David’s time and that no temple or the heavens of heavens itself could contain the fullness of God. Yet God prepared a body in which all His fullness resides.  "You in me and I in you" is God’s completeness uncovered in us as we comprehend the width, length, depth and height of that Love that indwells us. ~ Eph 3:17-19

As we focus on His Glory of goodness and loving-kindness we are transformed into that same Glory by the indwelling Spirit of God.

Showing that we were purposed in grace from the foundation of the world and that we were designed to live from the influence of Divine love in our hearts. He also shows how anything that does not operate from this paradigm frustrates the influence of God in our lives and leaves us exhausted in our will power and effort.
